This photo assignment took me behind the scenes at Uppsala University’s Department of Immunology, Genetics, and Pathology, where cutting-edge research in precision medicine and targeted therapies is shaping the future of cancer treatment. I also visited primary healthcare centres, where I witnessed how early detection and attentive care are saving lives. Through Cancerlinjen, Cancerfonden’s national support line, I documented the compassionate voices offering guidance and support to individuals and families affected by cancer. This project reminded me of the power of visual storytelling — to inform, connect, and honor the work of those driving change. I'm proud to share this as part of my ongoing journey to document purposeful, human-centered projects.
